The Redbank Valley Bulldogs came tearing into Friday's matchup with seven straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 17.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to North Clarion for the full four quarters, racking up a 77-25 victory at home. Redbank Valley's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.
Redbank Valley's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Owen Clouse led the charge by scoring nine points along with six assists and five rebounds. Breckin Minich was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Redbank Valley pushed their record up to 13-1 with that win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season. As for North Clarion, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Redbank Valley won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Venango Catholic at 12:00 p.m. on January 27th. Venango Catholic is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. As for North Clarion, they will head out on the road to square off against Ridgway at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
