The biggest upset of the week belonged to Flour Bluff, who took down 192nd ranked Alice, 27-26.
Martin's Albert Estrada recorded the longest rushing play in 4A Region IV District 31 this season in his game against Miller last week. Estrada scampered for 84 yards on the play and finished with 401 on the day as his team bested the Buccaneers.
Martin's offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Estrada threw for 308 yards and Daniel Sanchez had 192 yards receiving. On the ground Estrada contributed 401 yards. Javier Hernandez helped Martin's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 56 yards.
Estrada was a beast in the backfield as David Charles' team bested Miller.
He was 20-45 with 3 interceptions.
Sanchez was the best receiver in the league this week as the Tigers beat Remy Rodriguez's team. Sanchez racked up 8 receptions for 192 yards. Hernandez helped Martin's passing attack out by catching 5 balls for 56 yards.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Sanchez. The Martin star has 16 catches for 384 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Ray takes on second place Nixon. Last week, Ray topped Moody, while Nixon bested Cigarroa.
The Texans' offense has racked up 173 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while the Mustangs have allowed only 7 on the year.
Ray extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region IV District 31 this week by beating the Trojans, 51-8. The victory was the fourth in a row for Cody Simper's team.
