The Mountain View Toros will face off against the Red Mountain Mountain Lions at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Mountain View barely beat Westwood the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Toros put the hurt on the Warriors with a sharp 9-3 win on Thursday. The victory continues a trend for the Toros in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now won four in a row.

Brock White was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had since back in February. He was also solid in the batter's box, getting on base in two of his five plate appearances with two runs and one RBI. He is becoming a predictor of Mountain View's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 8-9 when he doesn't).
In other batting news, Lincoln Arrington and Max Germaine did most of the damage at the plate: Arrington went 2-for-3 with two RBI, one run, and one double, while Germaine went 3-for-4 with one double and one RBI. That's the most RBI Arrington has posted since back in May of 2025. Another player making a difference was Duke Henrie, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two runs.
Mountain View hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Red Mountain, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over Skyline on Thursday.
Jayce Bleeker looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over 3.2 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in ten consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jacob Gabbel, who went 3-for-4 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Derek Wilson, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with three runs.
Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Red Mountain, their win bumped their record up to 16-5.
Mountain View skirted past Red Mountain 3-2 when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Do the Toros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mountain Lions turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
