Central Catholic has been on the road for two straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will be home for the holidays to greet the Southside Sharks at 5:30 p.m. Central Catholic will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings (they are ranked 265th, while Southside is ranked 59th).
Central Catholic's 26-9 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They ended up on the wrong side of a rough 67-42 walloping at the hands of Doyle on Friday.
Meanwhile, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Southside beat Alexandria 49-45 on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Southside.
Central Catholic's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Southside, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.
