This season hasn't been kind to the Eastside Christian Eagles, who are still winless after their sixth game. They had to suffer through a rough 65-7 loss at the hands of Rancho Alamitos. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Eastside Christian has scored all season.
Rancho Alamitos' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Timothy Phan, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. Those four steals set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Inoke Malo, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and seven assists.
Eastside Christian's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-6. As for Rancho Alamitos, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-7 record this season.
Eastside Christian won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Tarbut V' Torah at 4:15 p.m. on December 14th. Rancho Alamitos will be home for the holidays to greet Saddleback at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Saddleback focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Wednesday.
