Basketball Recap: Arlington Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

Arlington had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 32.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 62-49 victory over the Pierce Bluejays.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Arlington to victory, but perhaps none more so than Emerson Timm, who went 5-for-12 to rack up 19 points and eight assists. Timm is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games she's played. Macy Wolf was another key player, going 7-for-12 en route to 19 points and five rebounds.

Arlington's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 20-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.3 points over those games. As for Pierce, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-8.

Looking ahead, Arlington will welcome Central City at 7:00 p.m. on February 28th. Central City's defense has only allowed 28.5 points per game this season, so Arlington's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Pierce, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Bluejays face off against the Eagles at 6:30 p.m. on February 28th. One thing working in Milford's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 13 games.
