The Terrell County Greenwave will head out on the road to challenge the Quitman County Hornets at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Terrell County has three straight victories, Quitman County has eight straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Terrell County can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent match on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 63-34 victory over Miller County at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory Terrell County has posted since December 8, 2023.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Terrell County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tadreuna Rogers, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Rogers has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jada Rushing, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Quitman County lost to Miller County on the road by a decisive 61-42 margin last Tuesday.
Terrell County has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. As for Quitman County, they bumped their record down to 1-8 with that loss, which was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Everything came up roses for Terrell County against Quitman County in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 77-17 win. With Terrell County ahead 38-13 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
