Deer Valley has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Goldwater Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Deer Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past four games -- so hopefully Goldwater likes a good challenge.
Even though Cactus scored an imposing 61 points on Tuesday, Deer Valley still came out on top. Deer Valley walked away with a 71-61 win over Cactus.
Meanwhile, Goldwater had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Estrella Foothills by a score of 45-38 on Tuesday. The victory was just what Goldwater needed coming off of a 76-48 loss in their prior matchup.
Deer Valley's win was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-2. As for Goldwater, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-13.
Everything came up roses for Deer Valley against Goldwater in their previous matchup back in January of 2023 as the squad secured a 73-23 win. Will Deer Valley repeat their success, or does Goldwater have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
