The Crescent Loggers had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They strolled past Non Varsity Opponent with points to spare on Saturday, taking the game 34-18. The win was just what Crescent needed coming off of a 68-22 loss in their prior matchup.
Crescent's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Ciara Cargo-Acosta, who scored 12 points along with 6 steals and 4 blocks. That makes it three consecutive games in which Cargo-Acosta has scored at least 25% of Crescent's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Naomii Spraque, who scored 13 points along with 5 steals.
Crescent's victory bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Non Varsity Opponent, they bumped their record down to 32-65 with that loss, which was their sixth straight on the road.
Crescent will be playing in front of their home fans against Concrete at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. Non Varsity Opponent's road trip will continue as they head out to face Texico at 10:10 a.m. on December 9th. Texico is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
