Volleyball Recap: Yale Falls Despite Big Games from Olivia Runnals and Adison Utter

The Yale Bulldogs didn't have quite enough to beat the Lutheran Northwest Crusaders on Saturday and fell 2-1.

Despite the defeat, Yale had strong showings from Adison Utter, who had 11 digs and six aces, and Olivia Runnals, who had 15 digs and one assist. Utter has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last three times she's played.

Yale's loss dropped their record down to 19-14-1. As for Lutheran Northwest, their win bumped their record up to 7-11-1.

Yale wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Roeper on the 11th. As for Lutheran Northwest, they will square off against Genesee Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The last three games the Soldiers have played have been within one set, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
