The Jackson-Reed Tigers can now show off 19 landslide victories after their most recent match on Friday. They blew past Coolidge 70-50. The win was nothing new for Jackson-Reed as they're now sitting on 13 straight.
Jackson-Reed got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Gilmore out in front who scored 19 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gilmore has scored all season. Kai Settles was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six rebounds and four blocks.
Jackson-Reed pushed their record up to 26-2 with that victory, which was their tenth straight at home. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 43.4 points. As for Coolidge, their loss dropped their record down to 16-6.
Jackson-Reed won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the at 6:40 p.m. on February 3rd. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in their respective states (Grace Brethren Christian is ranked seventh in Maryland, while the Tigers are ranked second in District of Columbia). As for Coolidge, they will head out on the road to square off against the Knights at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Ballou focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Friday.
