Adna has gone a perfect 10-0 against Winlock recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Monday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Cardinals at 3:00 p.m. Adna is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.
On Saturday, Adna got the win against Pe Ell/Willapa Valley by a conclusive 15-5. Considering the Pirates have won nine contests by more than five runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
CHARLIE MYERS made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching four innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit. MYERS was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on AVA MCAULEY, who went 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. Another player making a difference was JAXSYN LOWREY, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.
Adna kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least nine hits in five consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Winlock fell victim to Toledo and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Riverhawks, falling 23-0. The Cardinals haven't had much luck with the Riverhawks recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.
Winlock's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Adna, their win bumped their record up to 10-2.
Everything went Adna's way against Winlock in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, as Adna made off with a 29-4 victory. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Cardinals have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
