Mars led WPIAL AAA Northeastern in scoring this week after putting up 45 points on Blackhawk. Joshua Schultheis ran for 242 yards in the win.
Franklin Regional made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 1,458 from 1,605. The improvement was the result of 44-7 victory over Elizabeth Forward last week.
The Panthers' dynamic duo of Nico Lodovico and Charan Singh proved tough for the Warriors to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lodovico threw for 87 yards and one touchdown and Singh had 36 yards receiving. Adam Mihoci helped Franklin Regional's passing attack out by catching one ball for 28 yards.
6-foot-1 quarterback Lodovico of Franklin Regional is the league leader in passing yards this season with 1189. He has also thrown 14 touchdowns. On the ground, the Fightin' Planets' Schultheis has rushed for 1637 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Josh Wannarnaker. The Derry star has 35 catches for 543 yards.
