Brownsburg and Noblesville are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2019, but likely not for long. The Bulldogs will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Millers at 6:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Brownsburg comes in on three and Noblesville on eight.
Brownsburg is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Indiana's top teams: Center Grove, who was ranked fourth at the time (Brownsburg was ranked 18th). The Bulldogs sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 4-3 win over the Trojans on Monday. That's two games straight that the Bulldogs have won by just one run.

Drew Jennings looked comfortable as he pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than two hits in four consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Ty Jarvis was excellent, going 3-for-5 with three RBI and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in May of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Colin McNeer, who went 1-for-5 with one home run.
Brownsburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team has now struck out at least five batters in three consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Noblesville narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Hamilton Southeastern 11-10.
Trevor Corbett made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out nine batters over 3.2 innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Corbett was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Tanner Miller, who went 2-for-5 with one home run and five RBI. That home run was his first of the season. Cole Schott was another key player, going 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
Noblesville pushed their record up to 13-8 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.4 runs over those games. As for Brownsburg, their win bumped their record up to 12-5.
Brownsburg's speedy runners might be the difference in Thursday's match. The Bulldogs have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3.3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Noblesville, though, as they've been averaging only 1.3 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Brownsburg continue to outrun the ball?
Brownsburg couldn't quite finish off Noblesville when the teams last played back in May of 2024 and fell 5-3. Can the Bulldogs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
