Even though Brooks County has not done well against Pelham recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Brooks County came out on top against Pelham by a score of 51-41.
Brooks County relied on the efforts of Tamiah Gordon, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds, and Imani Hall, who scored 27 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Gordon has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Rah'Asia Frazier, who scored four points along with two steals.
Brooks County's win bumped their record up to 4-9. As for Pelham, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season.
Brooks County beat Pelham 51-41 in their previous meeting on Friday. The rematch might be a little tougher for Brooks County since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
