The Ridgeland-Hardeeville Jaguars lost against the Allendale-Fairfax Tigers last Monday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Ridgeland-Hardeeville fell 51-41 to Allendale-Fairfax. While losing is never fun, Ridgeland-Hardeeville can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while Allendale-Fairfax is ranked 43rd).
Several Jaguars players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Imani Patterson, who scored 11 points along with three steals. Patterson set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Brianna Washington was another key contributor, scoring nine points.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville's loss was their third straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 3-5. As for Allendale-Fairfax, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 5-0.
Ridgeland-Hardeeville will head out on the road to face off against Colleton County at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Colleton County has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last five games. Allendale-Fairfax will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Whale Branch at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024.
