The Crisp Academy Wildcats will head out on the road to take on the Fullington Academy Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Crisp Academy's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their third straight loss. The match between them and Byne Christian wasn't particularly close, with Crisp Academy falling 52-34.
Despite the loss, Crisp Academy saw an underclassman step up: Reese Reed scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Brody Ashton, who scored seven points along with two steals.
Meanwhile, after a string of three wins, Fullington Academy's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They took a 67-58 hit to the loss column at the hands of David Emanuel Academy. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Crisp Academy has not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Fullington Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-10.
Crisp Academy suffered a grim 54-33 defeat to the Trojans in their previous matchup back in January. Can Crisp Academy avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
