Westfield barely beat Pittsfield the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Bombers put the hurt on the Generals with a sharp 13-2 win on Monday. The victory continues a trend for the Bombers in their matchups with the Generals: they've now won eight in a row.

Westfield's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Pittsfield, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 1-2.

Looking ahead, Westfield will challenge Agawam at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Brownies' pitching crew has only allowed three runs per game this season, so the Bombers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Pittsfield, they will square off against Hampshire Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Raiders will roll in looking for their sixth straight victory, something the Generals surely won't give up without a fight.
