Churubusco is 9-1 against Garrett since February of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Churubusco Eagles will head out to take on the Garrett Railroaders at 7:30 p.m. Churubusco will be strutting in after a win while Garrett will be coming in after a loss.

Churubusco had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 37-point drubbing they dealt Hamilton on Friday. Churubusco simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Hamilton 71-34. That 37 point margin sets a new team best for the Eagles this season.

Meanwhile, Garrett suffered their closest defeat since February 9, 2024 on Saturday. They fell just short of Tippecanoe Valley by a score of 46-43.

Despite the loss, Garrett saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Isaiah King went 7-for-10 en route to 18 points and six rebounds. King is also on a roll when it comes to three-point shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 50% in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gabe Armstrong, who went 5-for-9 on his way to 12 points.

Churubusco has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 7-12 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.8 points over those games. As for Garrett, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 15-6.

Churubusco strolled past Garrett in their previous matchup back in February of 2024 by a score of 55-36. The rematch might be a little tougher for Churubusco since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
