It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Trinity Christian Academy Conquerors had no problem doing just that on Friday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 48-20 victory over the Warriors. The win was familiar territory for Trinity Christian Academy who now have five in a row.
Trinity Christian Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Anderson led the charge by rushing for 157 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries. Anderson really tore up the turf during one magnificent 81-yard run. Darnell Rogers was another key contributor, rushing for 134 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Trinity Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season. As for Orlando Christian Prep, their loss dropped their record down to 10-2.
Trinity Christian Academy will head out on the road to face off against Clearwater Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Clearwater Central Catholic is on a six-game streak of home wins, Trinity Christian Academy a three-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the field. Orlando Christian Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
