The Sylva Bay Academy Saints will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the River Oaks Mustangs at 1:45 p.m. on December 28th. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Tuesday, Sylva Bay Academy beat Stringer 40-29.
Sylva Bay Academy relied on the efforts of Tristen Rogers, who scored nine points along with five steals, and Brody Boyd, who scored 16 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Boyd has scored at least 25% of Sylva Bay Academy's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brecken Phillips, who scored eight points.
Meanwhile, River Oaks didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Riverdale Academy on December 9th, but they still walked away with a 43-37 victory.
Sylva Bay Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. As for River Oaks, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
