On Friday, Manawa were out to avenge their 0-62 defeat to Amherst from the last time they squared off against one another, but they had no such luck. Manawa lost to Amherst by a decisive 21-40 margin. This makes it the second loss in a row for Manawa.
The defeat dropped Manawa's record to 4-3. The win bumped Amherst's record up to 6-1.
Next week Manawa take on Weyauwega-Fremont at 7:00 PM. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match. Amherst will be staying on the road, facing off against Pacelli. Amherst will be strutting in after a victory while Pacelli will be stumbling in from a defeat.
