The Lewis Cass Kings's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. They took a 57-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Logansport. The matchup was a 18-18 toss-up at halftime, but Lewis Cass was outscored by Logansport in the second.
Lewis Cass lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being L.j. Hillis, who scored 18 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Owen Lowe, who scored 12 points.
Lewis Cass has fallen quite a ways from their 20-8 record last season and are now at 3-8. As for Logansport, their victory bumped their record up to 7-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lewis Cass will take on Southwood at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Southwood is on a three-game streak of home losses, Lewis Cass a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck is about to change. As for Logansport, Logansport and Twin Lakes will face off at 7:30 p.m. on January 19th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Twin Lakes will be looking to extend their current eight-game winning streak.
