Polson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Corvallis Blue Devils on Friday as they made off with a 26-6 win. The score was all tied up 6-6 at the break, but the Pirates were the (much) better team in the second half.

Case Cox was a one-man wrecking crew as he threw for 238 yards and three touchdowns while completing 77.3% of his passes. Daniel O'Roake handled things on the ground, rushing for 116 yards.

Polson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corvallis only rushed for 83 rushing yards.

Coming up, Polson will be playing in front of their home fans against Lockwood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Corvallis, they are headed away from home for the first time to square off against Bigfork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
