Polson had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They were the clear victors by a 26-6 margin over the Corvallis Blue Devils on Friday. For the Pirates, this counts as revenge for the 48-0 victory the Blue Devils walked away with the last time they faced one another back in September of 2018.

Polson found their leader in sophomore Case Cox, who threw for 238 yards and three TDs while completing 77.3% of his passes. Daniel O'Roake helped Cox out on the ground, rushing for 116 yards.

Polson was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 217 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Corvallis only rushed for 83 rushing yards.

Coming up, Polson will face off against Lockwood at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Corvallis, they will challenge Bigfork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
