The Minden Whippets will stay at home for another game and welcome the Holdrege Dusters at 7:45 p.m. on January 19th. Both teams come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Minden posted their closest win yet this season on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged St. Paul out 43-41.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Minden to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brycen Schwenka, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jake Ryan, who scored 11 points.
Meanwhile, Holdrege waltzed into their match on Tuesday with four straight wins but they left with five. They walked away with a 57-48 win over Kearney Catholic.
Minden now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Holdrege, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.
Minden came up short against Holdrege in their previous matchup back in January of 2023, falling 64-53. Thankfully for Minden, Jackson Hinrichs (who scored 14 points along with eight assists and seven rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result? There's only one way to find out.
