Au Gres-Sims scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They strolled past Saginaw Arts & Sciences Academy with points to spare, taking the game 50-35.
Analeis Ming and Sophie Fox were among the main playmakers for Au Gres-Sims as the former scored 20 points along with seven steals and the latter dropped a double-double on 20 points and 18 rebounds. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ming has scored at least 25% of Au Gres-Sims' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Adelaide Bauer, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and three steals.
Meanwhile, All Saints Central was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 43-42 to Deckerville. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for All Saints Central in their matchups with Deckerville: they've now lost three in a row.
Au Gres-Sims' victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for All Saints Central, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 3-2.
Things could have been worse for Au Gres-Sims, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 43-25 loss to All Saints Central in their previous meeting back in December of 2022. Can Au Gres-Sims avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
