The State College Little Lions gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They secured a 52-47 W over East. That result was just more of the same for these two, as State College also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
State College's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luke Torbic, who scored 13 points along with 7 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Charlie Yartz, who scored 12 points.
State College's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for East, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
State College will be playing at home against Spring-Ford at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for East, they will head out on the road to face off against Bishop Shanahan at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday.
