There's no place like home for the College Park Falcons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Wednesday. They breezed by Mt. Diablo at home to the tune of 63-31. Given College Park's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 509th, while Mt. Diablo is ranked 1024th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead College Park to victory, but perhaps none more so than Mathys Joseph, who scored 12 points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Deegan Sullenger, who scored seven points along with five rebounds and three steals.
College Park's win bumped their record up to 8-12. As for Mt. Diablo, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost 13 of their last 14 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-17 record this season.
College Park will look to defend their home court on Monday against Clayton Valley Charter at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Clayton Valley Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday. As for Mt. Diablo, they will head out on the road to challenge Miramonte at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The pair have had a bumpy ride up to this point with three consecutive losses apiece.
