It was a good run, but Virginia City unfortunately witnessed the end of their six-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 17-7 to the Pyramid Lake Lakers. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Nanna Lopez made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one triple the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Wackerly, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2.

Virginia City's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 9-5-1. As for Pyramid Lake, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Virginia City is set to face off against their familiar foe Mineral County at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Pyramid Lake will take on rival Eureka at 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
