Frontenac can now show off four landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They blew past Girard 42-20. 42 seems to be a good number for Frontenac as the squad scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.
Meanwhile, Burlington can now show off three landslide victories after their most recent game on Friday. They put the hurt on Columbus with a sharp 38-14 win.
Zane Hoback was on fire: he rushed for 177 yards and three touchdowns on only 13 carries, and also picked up 63 receiving yards. Hoback was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 69 yards. Hunter Reiling was another key contributor, rushing for 93 yards and a touchdown on only nine carries.
Frontenac's win was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 8-1. As for Burlington, their victory bumped their record up to 6-3.
Everything came up roses for Frontenac against Burlington in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 as the team secured a 43-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Frontenac since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
