John Arnold was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Austin Cassidy, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: St. Anthony kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Elsinore got themselves on the board against Camarillo on Tuesday, but Camarillo never followed suit. They put the hurt on the Scorpions with a sharp 6-0 victory.
The result came thanks to Brayden Stankus's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.
At the plate, Elsinore's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Robert Gates, who went 1-for-2 with two runs.
Elsinore is on a roll lately: they've won 16 of their last 17 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for St. Anthony, their win bumped their record up to 21-8.
Both St. Anthony and Elsinore just can't seem to miss. The Saints have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.3 hits per game. However, it's not like Elsinore struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 5.2 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
St. Anthony couldn't quite get it done against Elsinore when the teams last played back in March of 2023 as they fell 3-0. Will the Saints have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other baseball content.
