The Ceres Bulldogs will head out on the road to face off against the Davis Spartans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Last Friday, Ceres suffered a tough 31-9 defeat at the hands of Mountain House. Ceres was down 24-3 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.
Davis fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back wins it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They walked away with a 27-14 win over Johansen on Friday.
It was another big night for Izzy Sanchez, who threw for 193 yards and three touchdowns. Miguel Olvera Deanda also helped out with an impressive 93 receiving yards.
Ceres has been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season. As for Davis, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 3-6 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Ceres against Davis in their previous meeting back in October of 2022 as the team secured a 36-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Ceres since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
