The School of the Ozarks Patriots put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their perfect season alive. They took down Pleasant Hope 43-26. Given School of the Ozarks' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 82nd, while Pleasant Hope is ranked 287th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
School of the Ozarks' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lily Todd, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which Todd has scored at least 25% of School of the Ozarks' points. The team also got some help courtesy of Kinley Sharp, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 17 rebounds.
School of the Ozarks' win bumped their record up to 5-0. As for Pleasant Hope, they now have a losing record at 3-4.
School of the Ozarks will head out on the road to face off against Bradleyville at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pleasant Hope, they will be playing at home against Wheatland at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
