Baseball Recap: Boulder Creek Sets Scoring Season-High Against Camelback

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Boulder Creek). They blew past the Camelback Spartans 15-0 on Tuesday. Perhaps unsurprisingly given the team's high-flying offense, the game also marked the team's biggest victory of the season.

Chase Lile looked comfortable as he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Boulder Creek is 2-1 when he allows at most two walks, but 3-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Matt Nicolosi, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Jake Parks was another key player, going 1-for-2 with three RBI and one run.

Boulder Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive matchups.

With the win, Boulder Creek broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 5-12. As for Camelback, they are on a 22-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-15.

Boulder Creek has already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against Mesa on the 11th. As for Camelback, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 26-0 loss against Chandler on the 10th.
