In what's become a running theme this season, the Clarkson/Leigh Patriots gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They took their match on the road with ease, bagging a 63-19 victory over Lutheran-Northeast. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 37-4.
It was another big night for Chloe Hanel, who scored 27 points along with five rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Clarkson/Leigh's points. Another player making a difference was Brynn Settje, who scored 13 points along with four steals.
Despite the loss, Lutheran-Northeast still got an impressive performance from Delaney Rose-hancock, who scored nine points.
Clarkson/Leigh has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Lutheran-Northeast, their defeat was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 2-12.
Clarkson/Leigh will take on Twin River at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Twin River will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Nebraska Rankings (they are ranked 241st, while Clarkson/Leigh is ranked 56th). As for Lutheran-Northeast, they will head out on the road to take on Howells-Dodge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Howells-Dodge focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 last Saturday.
