Basketball Recap: Irvelle Winchester's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Envision Academy over AIMS College Prep

If Envision Academy was riding high fresh off their 97-30 takedown of Invictus last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Envision Academy took a hard 84-66 fall against the AIMS College Prep Golden Eagles on Thursday. Envision Academy has struggled against AIMS College Prep recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

Envision Academy lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Irvelle Winchester, who went 7 for 10 en route to 16 points along with eight rebounds and six steals. Winchester's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chuka ACHINULO, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards.

Envision Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 8-11. As for AIMS College Prep, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-9.

Envision Academy has already played their next match, an 80-38 victory against Impact Academy of Arts & Technology on the 22nd. As for AIMS College Prep, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 88-53 win against Latitude on the 22nd.
