The Windermere Wolverines will head out on the road to square off against The First Academy Royals at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Windermere is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
Winning is just a little bit easier when you outrebound your opponent 12 to 5 on the offensive boards, a fact Windermere proved last Wednesday. They walked away with a 41-33 win over Evans. The win was just what Windermere needed coming off of a 57-25 defeat in their prior contest.
Windermere's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Bailey Travis, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 15 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Aaliyah Moore, who scored four points along with six steals.
The First Academy suffered their closest loss since December 18, 2023 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy by a score of 46-43. The First Academy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Windermere's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for The First Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-9.
