The Bay Tornadoes will head out on the road to face off against the Port St. Joe Tiger Sharks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Port St. Joe took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Bay, who comes in off a win.
Last Friday, Bay narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Rutherford 18-15. The victory was just what Bay needed coming off of a 35-0 defeat in their prior game.
Bay found their leader in underclassman Zabeyon Morgan, who threw for 168 yards and three touchdowns on only 15 passes.
Meanwhile, Port St. Joe was beaten by Sneads 48-21 on Friday.
Devin Cuttino put forth a good effort for the losing side as he rushed for 171 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.1 yards per carry. Corban Butts was another key contributor, rushing for 98 yards and a touchdown.
Bay's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Port St. Joe, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.
Everything came up roses for Bay against Port St. Joe when the teams last played back in September of 2022 as the team secured a 35-6 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bay since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
