Basketball Recap: Brentsville District Skates Past Warren County with Ease

Brentsville District came tearing into Friday's match with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 22.7 points) and they left with even more momentum. They breezed by the Warren County Wildcats to the tune of 54-27. The Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 22 points or more this season.

Brentsville District's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Macie Mayes, who posted 13 points. That's the most points Mayes has posted since back in February of 2024. Payton Brown was another key player, putting up 12 points.

Brentsville District smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 11 offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in four consecutive contests.

Brentsville District pushed their record up to 14-4 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.3 points over those games. As for Warren County, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-10.

Brentsville District wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 48-34 victory against Kettle Run on the 4th. As for Warren County, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 54-33 win against Manassas Park on the 3rd.
