High Plains added to the longest winning streak in D1 District 4 (8 Man) this week by beating Nebraska Christian, 53-6. The victory was the fourth in a row for the team.
East Butler took down Cross County 53-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Logan Engel threw for 211 yards and 3 touchdowns. He was 12-15 with 0 interceptions.
Engel put up the best numbers in passing as High Plains defeated the Eagles. Engel's favorite target this week was Trey Engel, who caught 5 passes for 115 yards.
Greg Wood's team's Engel and Cole Klingsporn have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Engel has thrown for 1,216 yards this season, while Klingsporn has 23 catches for 438 yards. Nebraska Christian's Carson Huenefeld leads the league in rushing yards with 734.
The Storm led the league in scoring this week after putting up 53 points on Carl Ostrand's team. Engel ran for 66 yards during the win.
