After two games on the road, Crescenta Valley is heading back home. They will take on The Arcadia Apaches at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
After soaring to 38 points the game before, Crescenta Valley were a bit more limited in their game on Friday. Their tough 28-7 loss to Burroughs might stick with them for a while.
Meanwhile, Arcadia fell victim to Muir's stalwart defense on Thursday and couldn't make it onto the board. They took a serious blow against the Mustangs, falling 37-0. While losing is never fun, Arcadia can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 470th, while Muir is ranked 219th).
The losses dropped Crescenta Valley to 6-3 and Arcadia to 5-4.
Crescenta Valley barely slipped by Arcadia when the teams last played back in October of 2022, winning 21-20. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Arcadia's Derek Ganter jr., who rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown. Now that he won't be playing on Friday, will it be that much easier for Crescenta Valley to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
