Yucca Valley moved up to 431 from 591 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in De Anza. The Trojans climbed the ranks as a result of beating Citrus Valley 20-7.
Shadow Hills and Palo Verde Valley played the most contested game in the league this week, with Shadow Hills eventually emerging with a 35-31 victory. Martin Hernandez ran for 136 yards in the win.
Desert Hot Springs's dynamic duo of Steven Steed and Jaquariuse Anderson proved tough for Xavier Prep to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Steed threw for 267 yards and 2 touchdowns and Anderson had 106 yards receiving. T Armstrong helped Desert Hot Springs' passing attack out by catching 9 balls for 100 yards.
The Golden Eagles' dynamic duo of Steed and Anderson proved to be unstoppable against the Saints, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Anderson was the best wideout in the league this week as Desert Hot Springs lost to Xavier Prep.
Logan Vallo was the best running back in De Anza this week. In 22 carries, he ran for 130 yards as Yucca Valley fell to Bob Molyet's team. Teammate Gabe Sosa added to the ground attack by rushing for 90 yards.
Steed put up the best numbers through the air as the Golden Eagles lost to the Saints.
Desert Hot Springs' Steed and Armstrong have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. 5-11 quarterback Steed has thrown for 464 yards this season, while Armstrong has 16 catches for 139 yards. Blake Smith from Big Bear leads the league in rushing with 471 yards.
Desert Mirage fell to Holtville 41-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jesus Felipe ran for 46 yards and caught 1 passes for 12 yards in the defeat.
