The Dominican Knights will square off against the Brown Deer Falcons at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Dominican has nine straight victories, Brown Deer has six straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Dominican barely beat St. Catherine's the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Knights blew past the Angels 13-2 on Thursday. The Knights might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six contests by ten runs or more this season.

Lily Weiler made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she pitched five innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in five consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one double.
In other batting news, Cate Wahlen was incredible, firing off two home runs, seven RBI, and three runs while going 3-for-4. Those home runs marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Sara Ketterhagen, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Dominican kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 14 hits. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their hit total in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Brown Deer scored the most runs they've had this season on Wednesday, but it wasn't enough. They took a 21-17 hit to the loss column at the hands of Racine Horlick. Even if the Falcons couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.
Dominican's victory was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0. The team's perfect season has a lot to do with their hitting performance: the team's won by an average of 8.6 runs thus far. As for Brown Deer, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Dominican couldn't quite get it done against Brown Deer when the teams last played back in May of 2022 as they fell 4-0. Will the Knights have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
