The Valley Vikings will challenge Providence Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Valley is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.7 runs per game this season.
Valley took a loss when they played away from home last Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Moore as they made off with a 19-0 win. The Vikings' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Kaydence Bailey was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits (and not a single walk). Bailey was also big at the plate, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with three RBI, two runs, and one triple.
In other batting news, Valley got a massive performance out of Isabella Brown, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with four stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most stolen bases Brown has posted since back in May of 2025. Makenna Perry was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.
Valley was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .737. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .348 or higher in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Providence Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They came up short against Grace Christian Academy, falling 10-0.
Providence Academy saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Margo Baldridge, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Providence Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Valley, their record is now 2-4.
Providence Academy's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Valley hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .395. It's a different story for Providence Academy, though, as they've only averaged .257. Will they be able to contain Valley's hitters?
