This season hasn't been kind to the Lucas Christian Academy Warriors, who are still winless after their fifth matchup. They were dealt a 64-21 defeat at the hands of Yavneh Academy on Tuesday. Lucas Christian Academy has not had much luck with Yavneh Academy recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Yavneh Academy to victory, but perhaps none more so than Daniela Hargrove, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. Hargrove also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. Another player making a difference was Lilly Yalovsky, who scored 15 points along with eight assists and three steals.
Lucas Christian Academy dropped their record down to 0-5 with that loss, which was their ninth straight on the road. As for Yavneh Academy, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 11-6.
Lucas Christian Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m. As for Yavneh Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge Dallas Lutheran at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Dallas Lutheran comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
