The Springlake-Earth Wolverines entered their tilt with the Kress Kangaroos with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Springlake-Earth strolled past the Kangaroos with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 65-49. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Springlake-Earth also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Jj Jaramillo continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 20 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Timothy Tovar, who scored ten points.
Despite the loss, Kress still got an impressive performance from Dillon Morphis, who scored 19 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Morphis has scored all season. Drew Morphis was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Springlake-Earth's win bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Kress, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-15.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Springlake-Earth will take on the Swifts at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Nazareth knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past three games -- so hopefully the Wolverines likes a good challenge. Kress will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Cowboys at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
