The Antelope Valley Antelopes had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against Palmdale by a score of 79-72 on Thursday. With that win, Antelope Valley brought their scoring average up to 50.9 points per game.
Leading Antelope Valley to victory were Kiwan Sims and Deshawn Lewis. Sims scored 21 points, while Lewis scored 24 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lewis has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Pierce Hill, who scored 11 points.
Despite the loss, Palmdale still got an impressive performance from Jamari Owens, who scored 28 points. That was a full 38.9% of Palmdale's points, marking the sixth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Rashid Johnson, who scored 12 points.
Antelope Valley's win bumped their record up to 7-20. As for Palmdale, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 14 of their last 15 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-24 record this season.
Antelope Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Palmdale also has no future games currently scheduled.
