The Midfield Patriots will head out on the road to face off against the Montevallo Bulldogs at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Midfield will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Even though Childersburg scored an imposing 59 points on Tuesday, Midfield still came out on top. Midfield walked away with a 68-59 win over Childersburg.
Kamiya Webb continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 22 points and 19 rebounds. Webb is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Jazmin Johnson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and six steals.
Meanwhile, Montevallo scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Holt 50-13 at home. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 28-5.
Midfield's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-9. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Montevallo, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 10-11.
Everything went Midfield's way against Montevallo in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 as Midfield made off with a 39-14 win. Will Midfield repeat their success, or does Montevallo have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
