Huntington has enjoyed a four-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will take on the Adena Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Last Saturday, Huntington took a serious blow against Unioto, falling 61-34. While losing is never fun, Huntington can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 752nd, while Unioto is ranked 246th).
Meanwhile, Adena didn't have too much trouble with Southeastern on the road on Saturday as they won 68-54. The win made it back-to-back wins for Adena.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Adena to victory, but perhaps none more so than Joedy Ater, who scored 22 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Lucas King, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Huntington's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Adena, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season.
Huntington ended up a good deal behind Adena in their previous meeting back in January, losing 54-38. Can Huntington avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
